The hydrangea carries the arrangement's softness. Named from the Greek for "water vessel," its dense, papery clusters lend a gentle, rounded weight that anchors the more graphic stems around it. The anthurium answers with its lacquered, sculptural spathe — glossy, architectural and quietly modern.
